The Museum holds artefacts illustrating the history of Moreni town – the modern and contemporary age and the interface with the western culture and civilization elements. The museum presents a relevant ethnography exhibition.
In the summer of 1999 at Moreni a contemporary art museum opened, as a department of the “Princely Court” National Museum Complex in Targoviste. It presents to the public a small part of the works by some contemporary fine artists who relate to the Dambovita county either by their works or by only their presence in the art collections of the museum and in the temporary exhibitions organized by the museum, such as “Gheorghe Petrascu Biennial”, periodically held at “Stelea Galleries” in Targoviste.
