The building of the Art Museum is a monument of architecture (Baroque style stucco decoration and 1900 Art, wall paintings, mirrors and stained glass mosaics). The exhibition presents paintings by Luchian, Petrascu, Pallady, Tonitza, Dimitrescu, Sirato, Stoenescu, Iser, Ressu. Almost 100 works belonging to the native painter Ghiata and women artists like Rodica Maniu, Micaela Eleutheriade, Lucia Dem. Balacescu, Magdalena Radulescu, Margareta Sterian are represented in the museum. Other collections include marble, stone, wood and bronze sculptures by Medrea, Baraschi, Irimescu, Jalea, Borgo Prund, Dorio Lazar, Lucaci, icons and religious decorative art, Brancovan art, tapestry, modern decorative art.
